"Sunny Day" is the ninth single released past the American synthpop ring Book of Beloved. The vocal was released as the 2d single from the band's third anthology, 1991'due south Processed Carol.

"Sunny Day" was written by band member Ted Ottaviano, who too sings the atomic number 82 vocals on the rail. It became the second Book of Honey song to feature him on lead vocals. The single was featured in Jonathan Demme's 1991 film, The Silence of the Lambs.[1] In a strange twist of fate, ring fellow member Lauren Roselli was cast in the role of Stacy Hubka in the flick.[1]

"We were working on Candy Carol while Jonathan was working on Silence [of the Lambs]. I played him a rough mix of the tape and I remember he liked "Sunny 24-hour interval" and felt he could employ information technology somewhere in the moving picture." -Lauren Roselli Johnson, 2009[1]

The song was initially remixed past Ben Grosse and released as a CD promo unmarried[2] and cassette single.[3] Shortly thereafter, the band themselves remixed the track, and this remix appeared on their following unmarried "Counting The Rosaries",[4] the CD maxi-single edition of which also included the Ben Grosse remix.[five]

"Sunny Twenty-four hours" was reworked in 1993 for Ted Ottaviano's post Book of Love project with Basil Lucas,[6] Doubleplusgood. The 1993 version, found on Sire'southward 1993 compilation, New Faces, features Lambert Moss on vocals and is more of a dance oriented track.[6]

In 2001, "Sunny Day" was once again re-recorded equally a new version, for the band's best of compilation, I Touch Roses: The Best of Volume of Dearest.[7] The 2001 version of "Sunny Twenty-four hours" featured Lori Lindsay on guitar, who would afterward become the pb vocalizer of The Myrmidons, Ted Ottaviano and Lauren Roselli's band formed in the mid-2000s.[vii]
